Hi myself (Robert Leeds) and five other guys from Manningtree are rowing the skiff Witchoar up the River Thames on the 5 September 2009 in THE GREAT RIVER RACE. The Distance is 22 miles and the total age of the crew well over 300 years!!! We are raising money for CANCER RESEARCH UK and hope you can sponsor us in this epic task. It should take between 2.5 and 3.5 hours to complete the course, information on the race can be found at www.greatriverrace.co.uk.  

Well we did it, and we did quite well 39th boat out of 290, time 2hours 55 minutes, third in our class, seventh out of 67 veterens and first Felixstowe Clayton Skiff over the line.

So if you havn't donated by now in case you thought we would do it, I think you should donate.......... NOW!
