Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In early 2010 Haiti was devastated by a massive earthquake. Thousands died and many more were left homeless and in desperate need of emergency aid. Seeing the extent of the damage and how the earthquake affected the people of Haiti made me realise how fortunate I am and urged me to want to help in some way.
So I’ve decided to get off my backside and do my first ever charitable run. I will be taking part in the 10K Great Manchester Run on the 15th of May 2011 and will be raising money for the British Red Cross – they provide help to people in crisis both in the UK and overseas. On a topical note, they are currently supplying emergency aid to the people of Japan who have recently been hit by their worst natural disaster on record.
Donations really make a big difference and would mean a lot to the British Red Cross Society. Please give as much or as little as you can…remember every penny counts!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now (and remember to Gift Aid.)
Thanks :-)
