Story
I am running the 2023 London Marathon for The Rossendale Trust and its WorkTaste project.
The Rossendale Trust provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities offering them vital services and opportunities which enable them to live as full and meaningful lives as possible.
WorkTaste provides people with learning disabilities an opportunity to gain experience in a real workplace. Adults with learning disabilities are often excluded from the workplace yet WorkTaste seeks to break down these barriers and show that these people can positively contribute to the place of work. With 1:1 support and dedication of a WorkTaste coach, people are given opportunities to build and gain new skills and confidence. WorkTaste has proven that a person with a learning disability can contribute to the workplace with past participants gaining paid employment as a result.
Please show you support for WorkTaste and help provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
