I completed the Dragon Ride 2018 on Sunday 10th June with such beautiful weather & scenery included.
Although when your climbing up mountains and
you can’t hardly see because the combination of sun tan lotion and sweat is getting in your eyes...
Then you start to think go away sun!

230kms Completed in 9.18 which included 4 feed stops (Very much needed) Cycling time was just under 9hours and I had a target time of under 10 hours.
So am very pleased with the time,
The ride included over 10,000 ft of climbing and three of those climbs just felt never ending. I just kept thinking there’s going to be an amazing descent once I’ve completed them.
I managed to burn 11,000 calories!(No wonder I needed those feed stations)

One village had kindly covered the road in tacks but luckily for Me two Marshalls were on hand to warn
everyone, (Well after 112 riders had punctures)
The same ridiculous act had been deployed going up one of the climbs but a Marshall was present to usher us over to the other side of the road.
Nearly had a sheep step into my path has I descended down the Black Mountain at 40mph.
Apart from these events everything was superbly organised and I’m not feeling to bad this morning after enjoying a few beers last night for the first time since New Year’s Eve (Yes correct New Year’s Eve)

I even managed to go spinning last night & feeling fine this morning.

I will be cycling the Dragon Ride in Wales on 10th June 2018, approximately 140miles...........

Some of you will know I’ve been training for the last few months (October 2017 to be exact). The photograph showing me dressed up for winter was taken during a training ride (January 2018) Temperature was just above freezing so very grateful to see some sunshine now..
