Fundraising for Bone Cancer Research Trust
Story
On Sunday 6th October, the day before my 38th birthday, I will be running the Royal Parks half marathon.
Most of you will know that I do these sorts of things all the time. With the exception of my channel swim I haven't asked for money before, but on this rare occasion, I am.
I was asked to run this by my boss, Andy, who sadly lost his son Alex to bone cancer just after turning 22. The BBC made a documentary about him, A Life Fast Forward. It's an inspirational and moving story -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW7DXGArYZU.
"Diagnosed at 17 with bone cancer, Alex Lewis underwent intensive treatment but knew he wanted to cram as much life as possible into the time he had left. In three years he experienced what some people take a lifetime to achieve, including meeting and marrying the love of his life. He died shortly after his 22nd birthday."

I am also going to match all donations, up to my target of £500, using my own funds. In other words, if y'all donate £500 I will add £500 making it £1,000.
