Team Cure Parkinson's are taking on the incredible 2022 TCS London Marathon, hoping to raise £100,000 to fund cutting edge research into potential new treatments that could slow, stop or reverse Parkinson's.

Story

I am excited to say in under 4 weeks I will be taking part in the London marathon, in aid of Cure Parkinson’s. Many of you will know, they are a fantastic charity dedicated solely to curing the disease the will affect 1 in 37 alive in the UK today.

For those that don’t know, Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological disease caused by the loss of dopamine-producing nerve cells in the brain which control movement, making everyday activities extremely difficult. There is currently no cure, however progress has been made in recent years in developing specialised therapy with personalised treatment that accounts for the many different ways people can be affected.

Donations towards this cause of any size are enormously appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support, it will go a long way in adding to the ever increasing breadth of research focused on finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
