Story
Yes, they did it!
Simon Curtis, Rob Durno and John Martin, aka Kington Walkers, completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of The Macular Disease Society. The lads started walking Ben Nevis on a rainy afternoon, then travelled down to and walked it at night in the cold and fog, both without incident.
They were supported by drivers Matt Reese-Hill and Neil Walton who then drove to , where friend Steve Carpenter joined them. They completed all three mountains within 24 hours and have exceeded their fundraising target of £1,000. The lads arrived back in the village at 10.45pm on Sunday 6th September, to a welcome home reception at The Jolly Huntsman in Kington St Michael, Wiltshire.
