I have had to extend this page, as the event scheduled for last year had to be cancelled and I got my entry transfered into this years 2011 event. 

So 2009's swim went well, after months of preparations I took up the challenge, and completed my first great north swim. It was a beautiful day and everything was near perfect. My only issue was my time. I completed the race in 00:41:39 although I had been training sub 30 min, so this year I plan on beating my personal best even if its 41:38.

All I ask for is a donation, even if you sponsor me a pound a mile, at least I have something because I know it is going to a good cause.
