I have some close friends and relatives who have either suffered or are currently suffering from this horrible illness and I would like to raise as much money as possible to support all the good work they do. I have a large donation target so please donate anything you can, no matter how small.

Your support will help make sure that nobody faces dementia alone. Alzheimer Scotland need to raise £10,000 every single day to help people with dementia, their carers, partners and families.
Your support will:
help us to deliver local services at over 60 sites across Scotland support our Dementia Nurses to improve standards of healthcare for people with dementia fund scientific, clinical, social and policy research into dementia make sure that day or night - all through the year - our Dementia Helpline is available to everyone who needs it.
How your support can help:
£15 will provide a basic information pack for a carer, sent out in response to a call to the Helpline. Our Freephone Dementia Helpline take over 5,000 calls annually providing information and emotional support.
£25 Pays for a day’s running costs for one of our mobile information vehicles to raise awareness of dementia and bring information on the condition to local communities.
£100 Helps us to continue our vital medical and social research connected with understanding dementia, its early detection and development of future treatments.
£500 will pay for five carers to attend a day’s course on dementia care with our highly trained staff. Courses can help support partners and family members in their caring role and can delay the admission of the person with dementia into long-term care.
£1000 Will give you the personal satisfaction that you have funded almost a week of our vital 24 hour Freephone Dementia Helpline service, making sure no-one faces dementia on their own.
£3000 Would help fund one of our Dementia Cafes or Reminiscence groups for one year.
£10,000 This is the amount of fund raised income we need every day to provide our networks of Dementia Advisors and Dementia Nurses across Scotland, our 24-hour Dementia Helpline, the Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Research Centre, our Reminiscence Networks and to campaign for the rights of people with dementia, their partners and families.
