I took part in the Ride in 2012 as a challenge to myself following a stroke in June 2010 which was subsequently thought to have been due to Atrial Fibrillation. I have recently retired from the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service and am now looking forward to spending more of my time getting fitter and enjoying a bit more sporting activity. my challenge this year will be to lead my team 'The Boardman Beckwiths' on this event and to hopefully raise some money for the cause.
