On 9th-11th June I will be taking on the 2017 Football to Amsterdam cycling challenge!

The Football to Amsterdam Challenge is a 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by The English Football League and the League Managers Association. Over 200 riders from across the Football League will meet on the starting line on 3rd June at Oakwell Stadium, Barnsley and will aim to ride 145 miles to the Amsterdam Arena the home of the Dutch giants, Ajax. I will be riding for Team Barnsley FC, alongside a group of fellow Reds supporters who will also represent the club in support of the charity.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. 

Prostate Cancer UK – the Official Charity Partner of The English Football League – aims to reach millions of football supporters through engagement activity across football grounds to raise awareness of the disease. As well as raising awareness of the disease, the official partnership will help to raise funds so that more men survive it and enjoy a better quality of life. The Men United team is galvanising the football family and inspiring a movement for change in men’s health to win the battle against prostate cancer once and for all. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
