Story
After many years of applying for the London Marathon ballot and not being successful I finally have the fantastic although slightly scary opportunity to run it with my entry via a charity place from the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF), who myself and my family owe a great deal too.
In 2016 my 15 year old daughter Megan was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis and we were told that she needed a new liver. Megan received her liver transplant in September 2016 and despite a few complications she is now thriving and enjoying life in her first year at the University of Lancaster.
The CLDF supported Megan through this very difficult time and continue to provide research into children’s liver conditions and support them as they transition into adult life. Please help me to reach my target to support this incredibly important work.
So far I’m doing pretty well in my training although the aches and pains are increasing with every additional mile. I will try and update you with training progress as the big day approaches on 26th April 2020.
