Event: Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023, on 14 May 2023
The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will take place on Sunday 14 May 2023 and has been inspired by former Leeds Rhinos captain, Kevin Sinfield OBE, and his fundraising challenges in recent years in support of his friend and team mate Rob Burrow.

Story

On the 14th May 2023 a team from Wakefield Triathlon Club and Friends will be taking on the challenge of pushing Dale Crowther (aka Cheesecake) around a very hilly Rob Burrow marathon to raise money for the Rob Burrow MND Foundation. Whilst not a runner Dale was entered to run the marathon himself after being inspired by Rob and Kevin Sinfield and the journey they’re on to raise money for the debilitating disease. Unfortunately Dale was seriously injured in a cycling accident in France earlier this year, suffering life changing injuries himself. So, in a bid to help him succeed in getting round his first ever marathon and to raise vital funds for MND a group of volunteers will push him round! It won’t be easy and there’ll be many adventures along the way, so please follow their journey here and support in whatever way you can! If you only have pennies to donate just remember every penny helps. Thanks 🙏 xx
