Story
3 Years ago when I walked into a boxing gym in Coventry to take on 8 weeks boxing training and then box at the Ricoh arena I never knew how much boxing would change me. Having become a Type 1 Diabetic since my navy days and extremely unfit with real self esteem problems before I did the first challenge safe to say I was shitting myself! I felt what everyone else did fight or flight I guess.
I did a bit of boxing in Royal Navy and have followed the sport avidly since my mother let me stay up to watch the Eubank Benn Fight on ITV back in the Middle Weight Hay days. I have always been enthralled by the sport where men and women go so much in the pursuit of perfection.
I have been coaching and watching others in over 14 events across the country with H46 and every time I do I always feel the same nervous energy from the boxers that I felt that on that night in Coventry.
Since then I have boxed in some crazy places - The Ricoh again - The Britannia Stadium in Stoke and Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham the last time I competed was in July 2015.
As if I haven't got enough going on the bug constantly bites and I have decided to Top the Bill in a 5 x 2 Minute Round Fight at a 57kg Super Bantamweight Limit the H46 Show In Coventry on JULY 1st, It will be the last time I get in the ring I would appreciate any donations possible to this page and have got a few VIP Tables for people to come out and support me I would love the crowd to be especially loud then I fight to get me through the 5 rounds. (5 Rounds because I am a slow starter).
I want to honour every Single Fighter who has taken part in our events in showing that I can do it too, these people are brave, not quite as brave as our serving soldiers, sailors and Airmen but they out it ALL on the line for an incredible cause.
I WOULD LOVE YOUR SUPPORT on the 1st JULY 2017 at the Empire in COVENTRY.
