Story

As most of you already know we as a family have had a very difficult last 6 months. August 2023 my beautiful wife Monica was diagnosed with germ cell ovarian cancer at the age of 29. Monica was admitted into hospital for a week at a time to receive very intense chemotherapy. 3 rounds a day, every day. So after 51 rounds of chemotherapy and we pray that no more is needed now! So Monica I will walk for you… I’ll Love You Forever!

Walk in Her Name 2024 – 100km in March This Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, I am walking 100km in March.Walk in Her Name is so much more than a challenge; it's a collective step forward, a tribute to the women we love, a rally for change, and a beacon of hope for those living with and affected by ovarian cancer. To the incredible women facing ovarian cancer, this walk is a testament that you are not alone. 'Walk in Her Name' is a community of compassion. This is a pledge from all of us walkers to you. We are walking to remember. Walking to support. Walking to change the lives of women with ovarian cancer. Walking to fund the next big breakthrough. In her name – we walk.

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
