Hello,
Today, Robbie and I did our 1km run! We ran from Scott's View to Gledswood, only bieng passed by a couple of cars and three horses! We completed our run in about 8 minutes, which was good going due to all the ice on the road.
I have uploaded some pictures for you all to see our progress and to show us in our lovely pyjamas!
Thank you all again for all your sponsorship. Robbie received a certificate from the charity, thanking him for all the funds raised.
Thanks again, Nicky
Dear All
Thank you very much for your generous sponsorship of Robbie and Nin, all to help Edinburgh Sick Kids hospital. Between you the hospital has received £115 so far and there is more sponsorship still to come in.
Yesterday was supposed to be the big day and both brother and sister had their kit bags packed on Hogamanay ready to set off at 7.30am on New Year's day to get to Edinburgh in time to register. Unfortunately the snow got the better of them - it's been snowing on and off a bit like the attached picture for the last two days now.
So Nin & Robbie decided that instead of trying to struggle out of Cammerlaws and Halidean Mill to get up to Edinburgh and back again, they would be better doing their own 1k run closer to home as soon as the local paths are clearer. They are planning on starting at Scott's View and running to Gledswood or thereabouts. As it's all downhill, we might just make them run a few extra metres! They will both of course, still be wearing their pyjamas!! I hope you will agree that this alternative is still worthy of the donation you have given them. Watch this space - we will post pix of their big event in due course!!
Thanks again for all your support... and Happy New Year.
Ann
