On 11th July, I will be running the 10k London Run to raise money for Alive & Kicking, the charity I work for.

Alive & Kicking operates factories in Kenya and Zambia which hand-stitch sports balls for distribution to under-resourced children's projects, providing sustainable employment for 150 people and offering HIV/AIDS education for young people through sport. Our stitching centres are registered as not-for-profit companies and operate as social enterprises, attempting to run as successful businesses with all surpluses reinvested in further charitable activities and employee welfare.

All donations will assist in providing footballs for under-privileged children's projects across Africa, supporting fair wage employment and health awareness in the process. With the World Cup being hosted in Africa for the first time ever this summer, it is the perfect time to support an African charity working to ensure a lasting sporting legacy for the continent.
