Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is where any funds raised on 'International No Whinging Day' - 'Fun Friday', can be donated to help raise money in Candice's name, to raise awareness of Guillain Barre Syndrome.

As always, anything is far better than nothing, no donation can possibly be too small.

Candice used to volunteer at Warrington Youth Club, where I work. She died  in 2010 on her 26th birthday, and its impossible to describe how sad that is, although I only met her once or twice myself I could tell from that and from what the people who were close to her have said that she was an awesome, friendly person. It was 'Guilliane Barre syndrome' that took Candice's life and that's a horribly debilitating illness. Since then her family have set up the 'Candice Roberts Foundation' and all money rasied on this page will go directly to that foundation. Whilst she was in hospital, stilll believing she would recover, Candice expressed her desire to raise awareness of this rare and horribly debilitating disease. So the foundation has been set up to carry out the work Candice would've undoubtedly done. Specifically they are funding medical training days on GBS, so that the syndrome becomes less of a mystery to the medical profession as a whole.

Thanks

Rob Watson.
