After walking 20 miles for Maggie's in 2008, I'm back for a brand new Monster challenge, (I wonder how many times I can say Monster on this page? 3 so far). Monster starts with a 30 mile bike, followed straight after by a 43 mile hike (yes forty three) PHEW! From Fort William to Inverness on 1st to 2nd May 2010.
Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres is a wonderful charity that provides free psychological and practical support to anyone affected by cancer (including friends and families). Each centre is uniquley designed and built on the site of a specialist cancer hospital – they help people to not lose the joy of livng in the fear of dying. To find out more about Maggie's (or Monster) visit www.maggiescentres.org
I'm a graphic designer for Silk Pearce – who have designed a lot of Maggie's material over the past couple of years. Through this work I've been able to see first hand what a truly amazing job it does. To see some of the material Silk Pearce has designed for Maggie's (and more) visit: www.silkpearce.com
On this page I'll keep you up to date with my Monster blisters, gruelling training schedule - basically the mud, sweat and tears (of joy) - so stay tuned! Anything you can donate is hugely appreciated and JustGiving is the easiest way to donate (don't forget the Gift Aid). Please dip in to those Monster pockets of yours and help me and my team 'The Burton Brewers' smash our £10,000 fundraising target.
Thank you. And one more for luck - MONSTER!
