Story
I'll be running the Great North Run to help raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK, alongside a friend, Michael, who has suffered with the rarer Beckers mutation of Muscular Dystrophy since birth.
Michael's story is pretty inspirational - having gone from being given a powered wheelchair in 2018 to doing the London marathon in the space of a few years.
It'll be a pleasure to do this event with him and to support this cause.
Check out his page (Michael Eaton) to find out more about his story (and if you're feeling generous enough to donate extra via him!)
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 70,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. There's currently no cure, and it many cases, it limits lives. MDUK do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions. All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
