Fundraising for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity
About 1 year ago one of my best friends and his family lost their second child after only 12 days of life. I decided to challenge myself to an event in order to raise money for the charity that supported them through this terrible time in their lives.
I entered an Olympic distance triathlon at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire (http://www.justracinguk.com/event/2013/little-beaver-triathlon) on Sunday June 9th. This consists of a 1,500m Lake swim, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run to finish off. I have been training for the last 5 months with lots of professional swimming coaching, cycling all over north east London and running wherever possible. I have never done this before but I am excited about the challenge that awaits.
