Story
Hi all, from the 14th March to the 23rd I will be playing the role of Ginger in Sutton Arts Theatre's production of Jerusalem. As a result, I will be dyeing my hair ginger (if something's worth doing, it's worth doing properly !) The cast had the idea that we should do something for charity so here we are !
Myeloma UK (myeloma.org.uk) was chosen as their colour theme is orange-and as I'm soon to be a Carrot Top it fits perfectly. A dear friend of ours was also diagnosed with Myeloma last year, so it means a lot to us.
Myeloma is a type of cancer arising from plasma cells that are
normally found in the bone marrow. While there are many effective
treatments for myeloma, unfortunately it is currently
incurable. This means that even after successful treatment has provided a period of remission or stable disease, the myeloma will
return.
Myeloma UK was registered as a charity in 1997. It is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with the disease. They aim to improve standards of treatment and care through research, education, campaigning and raising awareness.
So if you have a spare £ or 2 any support will be MASSIVELY appreciated. The event will be filmed, and there will no doubt be numerous pictures of my flowing orange locks ! Thanks for your time.
