Story
On Friday 16th September I will be cycling from London to Brighton to raise money for The Bodie Hodges Foundation. Joining me will be a number of mates some of whom will be starting in Hertfordshire, I recognise my limitations and as a result will be cycling 75 miles as opposed to the 110. Up until June the furthest I have cycled in two years was 5 miles, so this will be a challenge!
The Bodie Hodges Foundation are launching a capital appeal to raise £450,000 by the end of 2023 to purchase a much needed Bereavement Centre for families bereaved of child in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The death of a child is the hardest thing a parent will ever face and the grief that follows is life changing and permanent. Sadly, there is very little support available to families and they are often left to try and deal with their grief alone. Since 2013, The Bodie Hodges Foundation has been changing the face of support for families bereaved a of a child in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland through their important work. We have chosen to support the work of The Bodie Hodges Foundation as they aim to raise the money to buy a Bereavement Centre that will become the hub for a child bereavement community in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
