Story
On 5 August Rob Morris, Managing Director, Rail Automation, Siemens Mobility will complete a skydive to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society – a fantastic cause selected by a charitable finance team within Siemens with the very fitting name Goodwill Accounting.
Dementia is set to be the UK’s biggest killer. There are around 40,000 people under the age of 65 living with dementia in the UK. 225,000 people will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes. Dementia costs the UK £26.3 billion a year. At Alzheimer's Society, they believe passionately that life doesn't end when dementia begins. They are there for anyone affected by dementia, and do everything they can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most.
Rob has said to the Goodwill Accounting Team;
To achieve the society’s vision of “a world without dementia” will require a massive leap in research and investment. I’m looking forward to doing my small 10,000ft leap to help raise some of those much needed funds and raise awareness. Please help and contribute generously.
Lucie from the Alzheimer’s Society said to the Goodwill Accounting Team the following;
Alzheimer’s Society is working hard to ensure everyone affected by dementia is given the support they require no matter where they live. We are also looking to the future by funding vital research to ensure we can find new treatments and ultimately a cure. It means so much to us that Rob and everyone at Siemens has decided to unite with us.
The money raised will help us to continue raising awareness while moving ever closer to a cure.
I would like thank Rob for taking on the challenge of a Skydive and wish him all the best. I look forward to seeing him back on hard ground.
Please dig deep and donate. Thank you from all of the Goodwill Accounting Team and Rob Morris
