Beating the Bounds is an ancient custom which pre-dates the Norman Conquest. The custom involves a group of old and young members of the community walking round the boundaries of the parish to share the knowledge of where they lay, and to pray for protection and blessings of the land.

On the 20th September I will be joining Lincoln MP, Karl McCartney, and others raising money for charity. The challenge is to walk round the Lincoln constituency boundary in one day - more than 32 miles no less!
