Story
Partly I want to prove that I’m not yet ‘over the hill’ but more than that, I believe the Foundation does important work in campaigning for courtesy in public life as well as supporting specific work to promote community cohesion.
During the previous JCW ride, I met lots of people on the way who just needed the reminder of what Jo Cox stood for to say how much they agreed with the Foundation’s aims. Forty-odd cyclists provided that reminder. After the trauma of Covid-19, I think that reminder is even more important.
Although the ride is quite a challenge and not at all easy, it’s good that we pass through so many communities, large and small, spreading Jo’s message that we’ve more in common than divides us. Please pass this onto anyone you think agrees with the ‘more in common’ idea.
Thanks
Rob
P.S. Day 1 is the hardest; thank you, Yorkshire!
