Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is the eyewatering ride I did on Sunday 16 July http://www.letapedutour.com/en/race/route - about 120 miles, 4000 metres of climbing done in 9.5 hours: that's about half as fast as Froome.
Aside from matching your giving for St Christophers, I'll be giving the same amount to 4Life Thailand, the charity the family founded over 10 years ago to support the work of CCD serving disabled children. http://4lifethailand.org/
At St Christopher’s Hospice their vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to the care and support they need, when and wherever they need it. For some people that may mean being cared for in the comfort of their own home surrounded by family and things that are important to them whilst, for others, it may mean being able to talk openly about their illness with those who are going through a similar experience. It may even be as simple as being able to listen to their favourite music whilst eating breakfast during a stay at the hospice. They were founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders and, nearly 50 years later, her words still remain at the heart of everything we do: “You matter because you are you and you matter until the last moment of your life.” Each person is unique and they tailor their care to meet social, emotional and spiritual needs, as well as manage physical symptoms. Every year St Christopher’s provide care and support to over 6,000 people across South East London, both at home and in the hospice. St Christopher’s passionately believes that everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives and have an extensive education programme, working with people across the world, to improve and develop hospice care.
