Story
The Cotswold Ultra 100km (in 24 hours) is a looped route through the heart of the Cotswolds, with 2250 metres of climbing.....
This challenge is all about the team work and motivation. 100km is a long way so we will need each others support.
I am really pleased to be joined by - Simon Clarke, Rachel Hewett and Keith Jackson.
To recap, my Dad lost his battle with Myeloma in 2020 and since then I have wanted to challenge myself and do something that matched Dad's determination, strength and fighting spirit. Upon reflection I couldn't just do one could I?
So this 50+ year old chap with dodgy knees, an arthritic ankle and fitness levels that need to be improved, will be trying to finish the London Marathon in April, shuffling around the Cotswold Way 100km Ultra Challenge (in 24hours..) in June, and finally a gentle cycle from Keswick to Invercauld Castle later in the year...
Why? I am asking this myself after every training run, but this is for my Dad and the fantastic work Myeloma UK do for this rare and little known cancer that currently has no cure.
I know times are tough, we are all watching the pennies, but if you could spare a little i would be most grateful.
