Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 28 May, I am taking part in Ride London 2023. This is a 60 mile cycle challenge through the busy city of London and Essex!
I am taking part in this challenge to raise funds for Blind Veteran’s UK. I have worked for the charity for 4 years and am constantly amazed by the difference the support, rehabilitation and care they provide makes to blind veterans. The charity gives them the opportunity to rebuild their lives after sight loss.
Not only do they make a difference to blind veterans, the charity is a great place to work. They have helped me establish myself in the work place despite the barriers my brain injury presents.
This wont be the first time I’ve undertaken this challenge. I first took part in Ride London in 2019, and found it particularly difficult due to painful inflammation in my right hip. As a result, I didn’t get as much out of the experience as I had hoped. I hope this time round, that my training and preparation (and your donations) will enable me to enjoy the challenge while supporting blind veterans.
Not only can you help me by making a donation, you can also help by sharing my page and my story on your own social medial channels. Who knows, maybe you know someone who would like to sponsor me and support Blind Veterans UK.
