Story
Many have watched the hard-hitting documentary on Rob Burrow and his diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease.
Those that know him remember him as a hard hitting, speedy and agile, dangerous rugby player, and to see his health decline so rapidly is tough.
Rob is doing amazing things to raise awareness, but as the Rugby League family rally around, a group of 8 men and women, inspired by his story, have set a challenge to raise funding and awareness of MND.
The challenge is simple...
The team will collectively run the distance between Lands End and John O’Groats from 1st November to 19th December.
That means each team member must run an average of 7miles/11.5km per week.
There will then be one huge, final, 26 mile run or cycle between the York Comminity Stadium and Headingly Stadium, home to Rob Burrow’s amazing career, on December 19th, one year since he announced his diagnosis, where the team will finish together.
Please, donate as much as you can to try and hit our very modest £1k target. But if you can’t spare a penny during these challenging times, that’s fine, as long as you help us spread awareness.
Thank you for your time!
