Story

A bunch of us at Moneysupermarket Group are doing the 3 Yorkshire Peaks challenge on Tuesday 5th July in aid of the Prince's Trust

Summiting the 3 highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales and covering 24 miles in under 12 hours. No mean feat!

THE PRINCE'S TRUST

Our company charity is chosen every three years by our colleagues and we support a charity who aligns with our values whom we are actively able to help and feel we make a real difference. We’ve supported charities such as Mind, Shelter and the Wales Air Ambulance.

In January 2019, we chose The Prince’s Trust to be our company charity for the next three years, and in light of what the world has been through during that time, we've made the decision to extend the partnership for a further year.

Our joint mission was to focus on two of the most pressing issues that young people in the UK face today -  money management and mental health. The aim was to be able to give young people the support they need to transform their lives by empowering them with the confidence and skills needed to improve their financial wellbeing.  We remain committed as a company in the final year of the partnership to support the charity in facing these challenges in fundraising and volunteering programmes.

The Prince’s Trust was started in 1976. Their mission is to help young people aged 11 to 30 from all over the UK - no matter if they have been facing some serious issues such as homelessness or if they've been in trouble with the law.

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.
