Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know (because I’m always banging on about it!) I’ve recently taken up running…. Although this is probably part of some midlife crisis, it is also for a singular purpose, which is to take part in the Sydney Marathon!
Why you ask?
Two reasons…
The first is, for the last 15 years or so it’s been on my bucket list to complete a Marathon, and considering that there’s one that starts on my doorstep, I’ve been saying to myself every year, for the last 7 years that this is the year I’ll do it.. and I’ve finally managed to motivate myself this year (hence why it’s probably part of a midlife crisis)…
...and the second is that if I’m going to do it, I want to do it for a good purpose.
I bet that there’s not one person that has not been affected by Cancer. I’m sure that there are many more people out there who have been affected personally, or have lost more, and this is not about me, but it’s about trying to do something, no matter how small in the bigger picture, that might just help people that have been affected by this ******-up disease.
Although there are many people that I know that have been affected, I’m dedicating my efforts to two awesome people and who are no longer able to be with us.
In memory of my brother, Brian Stewart, I’ve set-up this donation page to a UK charity for Bowel Cancer.
In memory of my bother from another mother, Darren Johnson, I’ve set up a donation page to the Australian Cancer Council which cover a range of Cancers including Melanoma’s and particularly campaign around sun safety, which can be found here:

The Marathon is on the 17th of September and I know that I’ve not left long before the event but I didn’t want to spend week’s spamming your inboxes, just wanted to ask if you are willing to help by donating to my pages. Any amount you can give makes a difference!
Please feel free to email the link to my page to your friends and family, or share it on social media.
Thank you for your generosity and support -- it means a lot!
