I am a local Full time Fire Fighter in Basingstoke, Hampshire.  I have set myself a personal challenge which is to run the BUPA Great South Run, taking place on October 30th 2011. I am going to be running in Full Fire Kit and Breathing Apparatus and aim to complete the run in 2 Hours 15 Minutes.

I am helping raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity. This charity supports both injured Fire Fighters and those who have lost there lifes in the line of duty. The charity has helped colleagues of my own and I want to support it to show my appreciation.

I am also running for charity "The Joe Glover Childrens Trust", this is a local charity which helps young children who are battling cancer.
