Story
The Police Unity Tour is a 180 mile cycle ride leaving from the National Police Memorial in London travelling to the National Arboretum in Staffordshire. Riders ride in memory of police officers and staff killed in the line of duty and raise money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS)
COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives."Your loss is a part of who you are but COPS helps you realise that it doesn’t define you. We are all one big family."Since its foundation in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of police families devastated by the loss of a loved one who died on duty.
The conclusion of this ride sees participants meet the families of officers who have been left behind and have the honour of presenting them with a engraved bracelet detailing their loved ones name. It is a truly moving event.
The money raised goes directly to supporting families of the officers and staff killed in the line of duty - do please give what you can.
