Story
As part of a 10 strong team from Witney based cycling club ‘Mickey Cranks’, I’ll be cycling the iconic ‘LEJOG’ (Lands’ End to John O’Groats) in early June, which involves a 1,000-mile self-funded journey through the UK countryside over 10 days.
Cycling the full length of mainland Britain, I’ll pass through Cornwall and Devon, over the Severn Bridge into Wales, before passing through the rolling hills of Shropshire and advancing to the rugged hills of the Borders before completing the journey in the magnificence of Scotland.
I’m riding in support of Helen & Douglas House, a hospice charity based in Oxford that helps babies, children and young people living with life-limiting and terminal conditions and their families. The hospice helps local families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill child. And it’s a place where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories.
I’m hoping to raise £2,500 for this fantastic cause. This amazing charity is also our nominated charity of the year at A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP. Making a donation is easy and secure through JustGiving. Any donations through this page will be automatically sent to Helen & Douglas House.
