Mike Roach was a keen, well known and much respected sportsman. Good footballer, county bowler, cyclist………..the lot. But most of all he was a great lad! Just over a year ago he was diagnosed with cancer. Mike was never one to shirk a challenge and fought against it with typical spirit and determination but unfortunately he passed away recently.

He was planning a charity cycle ride to raise money for St Roccos and we are going to make sure that we carry out his wishes. Help us to raise as much money as possible in Mike’s memory and for a fabulous Warrington cause!

To this end we have formed a team of former Greenalls’ players (old and knackered) and aim to cycle from Whitehaven to Sunderland in 2.5 days starting May 1^st.
