Story

Established in 1830, Broughty Ferry was the first inshore lifeboat station in Scotland. During the station’s remarkable history of lifesaving, the crew have been awarded seven medals for gallantry.
We have two full-time staff  along with a team of  24 volunteer crew and 24 fundraisers all giving up their own time to contribute to Saving Lives At Sea.
Regularly Scotland's busiest Lifeboat Station, in 2022 we launched 88 times, saving 8 lives and assisting 38 people.  Running our station, providing the best lifesaving equipment and resources costs money. We need your help to continue our service!

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
