As a training Audiologist I am fortunate to work with people everyday who have trouble with their hearing. It is our link to the world around us and it's difficult to imagine a world without sound. However, it needn't be like that for those people. New state of the art hearing aids are helping more people than ever before and cochlear implants are helping children who were born into a world without sound.
As part of my training i've also been doing a few half marathons for charity. My first was the Sussex Beacon Half Marathon in Brighton. This was a great success as I think it actually rained for the whole 2 hours! Anyway not to be deterred, I completed the Silverstone race track Half Marathon, 19th March, and am in training for the Reading Half Marathon, 9th April. Wish me luck and good weather!
