This July, I’ll be taking on an epic cycle challenge from Bedford to Liverpool in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities UK and Bedford Hospital.

Following an enforced two-year break from our annual Oxford to Leiden Cycle Challenge, this year our team from I&A Restaurants are working with Ronald McDonald House Charities UK to deliver a 3-day cycle challenge starting at Bedford Hospital, taking in the undulating hills of the Peak District and finishing at Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey.

Funds raised from the challenge will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, who provide free ‘home away from home’ accommodation for families of children receiving care at specialist children’s hospitals across the UK. We will have the opportunity to visit the latest House to join the RMHC UK family – Ronald
McDonald Alder Hey in Liverpool. The charity have committed to investing resource, expertise and funding to RMH Alder Hey as well as continue to support families across the UK at their 12 other Houses.

A percentage of funds raised from the challenge will be donated to Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends' £1m appeal to significantly improve the facilities within the Accident & Emergency department at Bedford Hospital with a brand-new Paediatric A&E department and dedicated state-of-the-art CT scanner.
