Over the last few months we have taken part in Maud's Cafe Pontefract's online Facebook quizzes and have got to know the organiser, Alex McHale, and his wonderful family (fiancé Tara and daughter Minnie) very well. The quizzers have been dubbed the 'Maudsters!' 💛

Minnie was born with a heart condition and had to have surgery. Minnie is now 11 months old and an absolute bundle of joy! We can't imagine what that was like for their whole family but I know that the Children's Heart Surgery Fund was a great support to them. 

Through their generosity over the past few months, Alex giving up his time to do quizzes and performances, and Tara giving up her kitchen table 😂; they have inspired us to keep going and be generous too. We decided to raise money for this charity because of all the wonderful things they do for the families who are going through such a difficult time. 

In July we will be completing a virtual 10K and in October we will throw ourselves off a building in Leeds (the technical term being Abseiling!) all being well in the current climate. The Portland Building in Leeds in over 110 feet tall so it's pretty high! 😬
