<p><strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">HOW IT ALL STARTED...</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #3366ff;"><strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">Riz</span></strong></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="color: #0000ff;">:</span> "I think we need some sort of challenge"</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff99cc;"><strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">Rena</span></strong></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="color: #ff99cc;">:</span> "What, you want to have a baby?!" (big smile)</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #3366ff;"><strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">Riz</span></strong></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="color: #0000ff;">:</span> "Umm no...I meant something for charity like a marathon or trek..."</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff99cc;"><strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">Rena</span></strong></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="color: #ff99cc;">:</span> "Oh."</span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Riz then had quite a bit of convincing to do...</span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">All children have rights based on what they need to survive and thrive, such as <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">clean water</span></strong>, <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">health care</span></strong>, <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">protection</span></strong> and the <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">chance to go to school</span></strong>. They apply equally to every child, regardless of who they are and where they are from. Yet everyday, these rights are denied. UNICEF is working hard to improve this. <strong>AND WE WANT TO HELP!</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><strong> </strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">
<p><strong><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt;">OUR CHALLENGE:</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt;">W</span><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">e'll be trekking approximately <strong><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">115km</span></strong> over 7 days through the <strong><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Namib desert</span></strong>, the oldest desert in the world. We'll be paying the cost of our flights and other expenses (approx £3500), <strong><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">so all of your contributions go to UNICEF.</span></strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><strong><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';"> </span></strong></span></span></span></span></p>
</span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">UNICEF'S WORK IN NAMIBIA:</span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">40% of Namibian children under 5 lack birth certificates, making them vulnerable to <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">abuse</span></strong>, <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">trafficking</span></strong> and <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">early marriage</span></strong>. Without a birth certificate they have less access to government services and schooling. <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">Your money will help Namibian children to have their births registered and therefore opening access to health and education facilities.</span></strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Namibia has one of the highest rates of HIV infection in the world and is considered the single most threat to sustainable human development. <strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">Your money will contribute to a programme aimed at Namibian children aged 10-14, teaching them about HIV and AIDS before they become sexually active.</span></strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">UNICEF also has programmes to increase maternal and child survivial with simple measures such as malaria treatment and insecticide treated bed nets (things we take for granted on holiday!!). They provide education to promote better hygiene and sanitation (again things we take for granted). <strong>Your money will help improve and save the lives of women and children in Namibia.</strong></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 13.5pt;">Please help us to improve the lives of children in Namibia and donate now :o)</span></strong></p>
