In 2013 our baby Riya came into our lives and our life as we knew it changed it forever. Riya brought us the gift of real pure unconditional love. She filled our life with joy beyond measure, and not just our lives but the lives of every single person that had met her. She was the most beautiful girl in the world, so caring, funny and smart. She would always put the happiness of others before her own. Our little wise old soul was mature beyond her age. 

On Friday 23rd December Riya was taken ill and was transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital where the staff went above and beyond to ensure Riya received exceptional care and respect. All staff kept us informed along every step of the way and were accommodating to all our needs and requests. 

However on Wednesday 28th December we were heartbroken when our beloved Riya grew her angel wings and left us to carry on her mission to help others. We are taking great comfort in the fact that Riya is generously donating her organs to save at least 4 lives and that just sums up her kind, loving and compassionate nature.

This has all been made possible by the compassionate Organ Donation team based at Great Ormond Street who talked us through the whole process and respected all of our wishes.
