On April 9th next year I will be embarking on a 100 Mile Kayak down the River Great Ouse followed by a 200+ Mile cycle from Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth along the North Norfolk coast to Great Yarmouth, then returning home to Whittlesey via Thetford Forest. I will be the whole trip solo. Camping out each night anywhere I can find The plan is for the Kayak section to last 4 days, averaging 25 miles per day for 8-10 hours with the cycle portion taking 2 days, roughly doing 100 miles per day. I am by no means an experienced Kayaker, I have done it a total of maybe 8 times at the time of writing this so to say it will be a challenge, both physically and mentally would be an understatement.
Any and all donations are appreciated, big or small, just the once or multiple times until the event is finished.
I am hoping to raise £5000 for Difibrillators For All who are a local charity to me who are aiming to have life saving difibrillators a maximum of 3 minutes away from anyone who needs them in the Whittlesey area.
You can follow River-Ride on our Facebook page until the event for updates on how the fundraising is going, how badly ours bodies are breaking training for it and once we are underway we will be posting photos, videos of our journey.
