Summer of Hope 2021
Campaign by Mothers' Union (RCN 240531)
This Summer, please join us in gathering your loved ones and hosting a safe and socially distanced cream tea party, to help raise funds for women around the world. If you'd like to support in another way, why not take part in our 5km MU on the Move?

Story

When I became a Mothers' Union member, one of the things that really impressed me was the Away From It All (AFIA) project. Taking families on holiday with support from volunteers to a safe environment, providing meals, accommodation and activities changes lives.

I became more involved and am now the AFIA coordinator for the 2022 holiday run by the Canterbury Diocese Mothers' Union.

Five years ago, I walked from Margate to London to raise funds for the 140 years of Mothers' Union but travelled along main roads. This time, I am taking the coastal route - much longer but more pretty. I shall be posting progress on this and a facebook page and would welcome people to join me for sections - as well as  donations.
