We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

Hi everyone, welcome to my next challenge, the Scottish Half-Marathon on 6th Sept 2014.

So why this one, this time?  Well 7th Sept marks the 20th anniversary of our sister, Olive's death.  Last Christmas some of us got talking and decided we should do something to commemorate the occasion.  As this half-marathon falls on the weekend of Olive's birthday (5th) and anniversary (7th) it was decided this was the perfect event and I would do the run and raise money for The Brain Tumour Research Charity

Why this Charity? When Olive passed away as a result of a brain tumour she was only 42 years young, leaving behind 5 children aged between 9 and 19 so it makes perfect sense to run for this particular charity in her memory.  That was the serious stuff.....

......Now for the fun stuff....I'm also aiming to shave some minutes of my last year's Leeds Half-Marathon time!!  This is a big ask of myself and I'd love if you could spur me on and if you can, make a small donation.  No amount is too small or too big and if you know anyone who may be interested in this please pass on the link.

Ok, better get cracking, I've got some running to do....

THANK YOU...GO RAIBH MILE MAITH AGAT...XX

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
