Story
I was fortunate enough while in Junior High School in Brooklyn, NY to be accepted into the A Better Chance program in 1993 and attended Simsbury High School in Simsbury, Connecticut. The program
gave me the best educational/academic opportunities and most importantly rounded me out socially and culturally. Based on my success at Simsbury High School, I was awarded a full Scholarship to New York University. Later in my life, at the age of 38, my time at ABC influenced my attendance to The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, where I received my MBA. ABC taught me that with higher education, anything is possible and because of this, I applied and I'm going into my second year at Harvard's Business Analytics Program. I look at my two children today and I get emotional due to the pride that I have for what ABC has given me in order to pass on the best opportunities to my boys. Please help support this the program that has given me so much in my life and to the lives of many other colored children higher educational opportunities. Thank you for your support. -Rishi Gopaul
