Story
Abdullah, a beautiful boy from Kuwait, fought two types of cancer. What he went through is rare. He was first diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at the age of five. He successfully beat the disease. Unexpectedly, at the age of nine, he was diagnosed again with a rare type of cancer, sarcoma (bone cancer). He received treatment at the Children's Hospital at Zurich, Switzerland. Abdullah tried to continue the fight against cancer, but his body could not fight the disease anymore. He passed away on 4/11/1999, leaving behind a sister and a brother who could not understand why Abdullah is never coming back.
How can you tell your child that he/she has cancer twice? And what can you say when they ask: why me?
Abdullah, and many others, will never be seen by their families again.
Abdullah's message is: help those who still have a chance.
