On Sunday 10 August, I'll be jumping on my bike and cycling in one day what I usually ride in a week, to raise money for WaterAid.

I'm joining 24,000 other cyclists to zip (hopefully!) 100 miles from London, out to the Surrey Hills and back again, in the Prudential Ride London.

I'm fundraising as part of WaterAid's To be a girl campaign and everything I raise before 9 September will be doubled by the UK Government. So I'm even more grateful for your donations.

WaterAid do amazing work providing some of the world's communities with access to clean water and sanitation. A tap and a toilet seem like such a basic right but worldwide 748m are without clean water and 2.5bn without sanitation.

Collecting water is almost always the work of women and girls who have to carry back breaking quantities of water long distances and often means girls don't get the opportunity to go to school. WaterAid are campaigning to raise £1 million to change this story for over 130,000 girls round round the world.
