We fund lifesaving research to to tackle heart and circulatory diseases
Story
As many of you know, Simon was renowned for his love of real ale (and some of the not so real stuff), his blog (Reluctant Scooper) and the bimbles that he organised.
After we lost him so suddenly in May 2013 the idea of the #RIPScoop bimble was born and once a year a group of his friends get together for a day of beer, football, helium balloons, piñata bashing and general shenanigans. The day ends with Scoop o'clock when friends all round the country raise a glass in Simon's memory and join together by the magic of social media.
It has also become a traditional part of the day for people to donate loose change, often after buying a drink, to the British Heart Foundation. There is always a collection tin at the bimble but it occurred to us that people taking part in Scoop o'clock might also like to make a donation in Simon's memory, hence this page appearing.
You amazing people have helped raise over £3,000 for the British Heart Foundation in Simon's memory and that's just so far. Anything you give will go towards lifesaving research by the charity.
Thank you for your support.
Cheers!
