Story
The Rigtonics is a small community choir made up of around 18 singers. Covid -19 has stopped us from meeting up in person, but we have continued to sing ‘together’ virtually.
Our latest project is a performance of Eric Whitacre’s beautiful song, ‘Glow’. It was created by each of the choir members sending me a recording of themselves singing their part and I then edited them all together to create the finished product. I am very proud of everyone for having the courage to sing ‘solo’ (it’s daunting to record yourself!) and want to thank them all for trusting me with their voices. The video is made up of a collection of photographs, taken by the choir members, of when our local area 'glowed' during the last snowfall.
I am sharing our performance in the hope that I can encourage anyone who enjoys it to help me to raise some money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust; CF is just one of the conditions that my lovely nephew, Luke, is living with, so supporting the CF Trust feels like I am also supporting him in some small way. As singing is a passion of mine it feels like the perfect combination for a fundraiser, as research seems to be showing that learning to use singing techniques can have positive affects on CF patients...
If you haven’t heard our performance yet, please copy and paste the link below and have a listen -if you enjoy it, please show your appreciation by helping me to reach my target! If you’re here because you’ve already heard it and want to support this fundraiser, THANK YOU! By donating today you will be helping to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to fund its amazing work and ongoing research that will help CF sufferers, like Luke, live longer and better quality lives.
